Opening Spring 2026 - Winchester High Street

I led the full brand creation for Clemmie’s Play Café; from naming and visual identity through to tone of voice and positioning. The brief was to design a space where children’s imaginations could run free, while parents connect and unwind over great coffee.

At the heart of the brand is a deeply personal story: Clemmie is the founder’s daughter, making the concept feel intimate and meaningful from the outset. The name is also derived from Clementine, which inspired the warm, orange-led colour palette and subtle Mediterranean market square aesthetic - bringing a sense of sunshine, energy and playfulness to the identity.

As Winchester’s first role play café, the brand needed to feel both inspiring and calming; a place that sparks curiosity, creativity and connection without overwhelming the senses. I developed a simple yet distinctive identity, combining a minimal, considered design approach with soft, playful touches to reflect the balance between imagination and relaxation.

At its core, the brand empowers children to feel confident, curious and free to explore through imaginative role play in a safe, thoughtfully designed environment. The tagline “The little café for big imaginations” captures this perfectly - small in scale, big in impact.

Launching imminently, the café has already built strong early momentum, growing an engaged Instagram following of over 1,000 ahead of opening.
